A great morning running through everything to do with coffee, with demonstrations showing the difference between grinding techniques ( I had no idea it made such a difference to a cup of coffee), to staleness and the science behind how coffee brews, and how you can make this work for you. I feel like I learned a lot, and that it was a morning very well spent. I recommend it.
This was a really interesting and entertaining morning. Stuart is so knowledgable that you can pitch any question at him and he'll answer it; but he doesn't make you feel daft when you ask something simple or obvious. I had no idea how many simple mistakes I was making just using the cafetiere at home! And it was great to look at the whole range of ways of making coffee from the simple filter paper all the way to the authentic Italian Espresso machine. Highly recommended for anyone who even remotely enjoys a cup of coffee.
thoroughly enjoyed this comprehensive introduction to home coffee making. Stuart made it interesting and interactive and inspired me to make better coffee.
