We are a well established local family business of coffee roasters. Our history can be traced back to 1750 giving you the confidence that we know a thing or two about the coffee industry.
Our core focus is to give you the highest quality freshest coffee and the best service available, and we go a long way to achieve this. We constantly search for the best green coffee beans around the world and roast them manually in a traditional open flame roaster so unique in today's coffee industry. This is why all our coffee beans and blends are unique, and people often travel long distances to meet us. We roast our coffee only when and as much as required to achieve the peak of freshness.
Over time we have expanded, and we now supply a wide range of supreme leaf teas, coffee machinery, grinders and maintenance services, the only barista training courses in the region, instant coffee, tea bags, cookies, take-away paper cups, smoothies and many other items associated with the coffee trade. However, our main focus is and always will be the best achievable quality and freshness of coffee to give you and your customers the best coffee there is.

As coffee traders since 1750, Pumphrey’s of Newcastle upon Tyne have been supplying and trading a wide range of high quality freshly roasted coffee and fresh leaf teas. With our constant expansion we also supply coffee machines, coffee grinders, training, machinery maintenance services, crockery and coffee trade related confectionery, as well as fair trade products.

Our Delivery Service
Based in Blaydon, Newcastle upon Tyne, we can deliver our products and services to your place of trade. This ensures a reliable service and flexibility. We will deliver your products by van within our delivery area in the North East of England or by post in the areas outside the North East.
Coffee for Trade Customers
We are confident that after looking through our list of unique coffee beans, wholesale coffee and coffee blends, you will find one to enjoy. We roast all our coffee beans in our open flame roasting rooms in Blaydon which ensures that all of our coffee is unique and available only from our shop. If you wish to enjoy an even more unique experience, you can create your own individual blend. We have many satisfied customers for whom we have created their own unique coffee blends using our extensive selection of coffee beans.

Coffee Machines & Accessories
In addition to our extensive range of fresh coffee and teas - the largest in the North of England - we supply other beverage-related catering services and accessories including coffee machines and coffee grinders.
As an added bonus for using Pumphreys Coffee as your coffee suppliers, we can arrange for you to have a free coffee machine on loan within your workplace. Our Coffee Machines come in all shapes and sizes’, so finding one for your office is simple and there are many different types of trade arrangements we can make for you - sales, renting, - just contact us and we will see what is best for your circumstances. Each and every coffee machine we supply comes complete with a full service back-up plan.
Additionally we supply barista equipment, products for preparing smoothies, hot chocolate, cookies and other products and services that you might be interested in.
Coffee Machine Service
As coffee roasters, we aim to have you operational again in the quickest time possible. Our dedicated team of service engineers are available from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) for businesses and individuals at any location within our trade area. Our comprehensive trade offer would not be complete without the centre of intelligence. Our award winning barista Stuart Lee Archer provides barista training days and City & Guilds certified Level 2 VRQ barista courses.
