Pumphreys most popular blend of coffee beans and the caterer's favourite.
If you've had a cup of Pumphreys from a filter machine its odds on this is what you will have enjoyed. A medium strength coffee with a nutty, mouth-watering aftertaste. Malcolm's note - delicious black.
This is Pumphreys most popular blend of coffee beans and the caterer's favourite.
It's probably my favourite. It just a nice smooth mellow coffee with out being too bitter and not overly strong. Anthony J Brotherton on 19th Aug 2019
Best coffee every! Julie Fenwick on 2nd Jan 2019
WE CAME ACROSS THIS COFFEE SOME 5 YEARS AGO IN A FARM SHOP NEAR MORPETH. HAVING DRUNK THE COFFEE IN THE CAFE, WE FOUND IT WAS ON SALE IN THE FARM SHOP.
MAKING A BREW WHEN WE GOT HOME, IT REINFORCED OUR VIEW THAT WE WOULD MAKE THIS OUR REGULAR BREW. HAVING BOUGHT THE COFFEE DIRECT FROM PUMPHREYS FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS, WE STILL RATE IT HIGHLY.

What more can you say - buy some! Tom S on 28th Jul 2017
My wife and I discovered Pumphrey's on one of our weekly trips to Newcastle some years ago and use about a kilo a month. Their range of coffees is amazing, but all wonderful. We wouldn't dream of buying coffee elsewhere. Now we go to the North East less often we use their mail order service which is easy and very efficient. Peter Walmsley on 18th Apr 2017
I have bought many different coffees in the past for my husband who's a coffee connoisseur ;) most of which have been great but not all. We tried Pumphreys Special Blend during a recent pub lunch in Northumberland and loved it!! I checked out the website and ordered a huge bag o'beans the minute we got home and don't think we'll ever change. Unknown on 21st Feb 2016
Have been using Pumphrey's special blend for several years since we first tasted it in a Farm shop cafe in Northumberland. When looking round the farm shop afterwards, we found this on sale and bought two packets. It tasted just as good when we percolated this at home. It is a fine taste slightly stronger than some of the products sold as strength 3 but not as harsh as some sold at Strength 4 or 5. Gordon Muirhead on 14th Feb 2016
Having encountered this coffee several years ago, we have continued to enjoy the smooth blend and fine aroma. It is not too strong nor too mild - so guess it is about a 4 on the usual scale. Our guests are always pleased to be served with a cup after a meal. Gordon on 18th Jun 2015
