1750 Blend

  • Product Description

Pumphreys 1750 Blend is one of our oldest blends.

Pumphreys 1750 Blend is a mixture which was discovered in old blending records which were unearthed when Pumphreys moved out of the Newcastle Cloth market to their new premises at Blaydon.

Our assumption is that this blend must have been enjoyed by generations of North East coffee lovers over the years. Although the exact blend is hard to recreate as coffee production has changed significantly over the years we feel we have captured a taste of the past with our special 1750 blend. Smooth, full bodied and mellow.

    1. Perfection in a mug

I love this blend, it is really rich without being bitter. Good to drink anytime of the day. Would recommend it wholeheartedly. on 27th Aug 2019

    2. A really satisfying coffee

I have tried many different brands looking for a mild coffee with no bitter after taste and came across this one by accident while on holiday in Berwick, in a cafe called Lindisfarne View. I asked what coffee they used and then bought my own from Pumphreys website. Its the best I've ever tasted and will be buying the 1750 blend from now on. on 17th Jun 2019

    3. A lovely mellow flavour

We are great fans of the Bigg market blend so wanted a more mellow blend to have as an alternative. I loved the story behind it and wasn’t disappointed by the flavour! A fantastic every day coffee. on 27th May 2019

    4. Wonderful smooth taste

My parents bought coffee from Pumphries when the company was based in Newcastle and when I saw they had moved to Blaydon when I was passing through I could not resist going in. I asked about this coffee mainly because of its strange name. They told me how the recipe was found and I decided to try it. It was the most delicious coffee and became a favourite very quickly, it is lovely to drink anytime of the day and I would recommend it to anyone. I have just bought another Kg bag online as I live in East Yorkshire and don't get up to Blaydon as often as I would like. I would say to anyone "give it a try, you'll be hooked".. on 11th Dec 2014
